I’ve never been very good at resolutions. Every time I make them, I get to my birthday, and they’re gone. That means by late February, Whatever resolutions I’ve decided to make are long gone, and about 4 months later I remember that I was going to attempt something.
Often, my resolutions are something that ends up being unobtainable: writing 1000 words a day, losing 60 pounds, etc. So, I get discouraged early on, realizing how far behind I already am, and then I just give up all together.
I’ve considered doing that 100 things in 1000 days, which seems like a much more sustainable way to make changes and set goals. After all, I really want a decent digital camera this year, but I may not have the money for it. But obtaining one in the next nearly 3 years? Totally doable.
So, this is why I don’t make resolutions, but I do want to make a list of things I’d like to change this year, and work on. That’s another post though, because one of those changes is more posts.
